Why is it important?
What will likely happen if nothing changes?
What can happen if positive change is made?
Phase II. Examine the Current State:
Who are you (collectively) at your best?
What are your strengths, resources, capabilities, competencies, positive relationships, alliances for success?
What gets in the way of being the best?
What constraints are you experiencing now or anticipating in the future?
Phase III. Envision the Preferred Future:
Imagine an ideal future.
What does it include?
What is being done, how is it being done, who are you serving, and why?
What are the results:
o economic,
o customer satisfaction,
o employee satisfaction,
o stature in the industry,
o social implications within your sphere of influence
Phase IV. Design the Path:
Goal Destination (Strategy) - This defines the what of the change, improvement, etc. Use the SMART Goal Setting Process. Assure reasonableness. Assess risk and plan for addressing what can go wrong.
Repeatable Program (Process) - Define the how of getting the change, improvement to take place. Check to ensure it isnt a one-off change unless it is specifically designed for that purpose. Use reverse engineering methodology.
Resources (People) Identify the who of implementing the change. Understand and assign roles and responsibilities and capabilities. Identify ideal characteristics of people involved. Do not create the implementation around incorrect available resources.
Accountability Program (Execution) Define the measure of what is getting done. Determine how to monitor progress and design an intervention method when things arent going as planned.
Phase V. Strategize Actions:
Generate Possible Actions through a create process
Examine pros and cons of each Action
Commit to Inspired Actions that produce best return
