Mary Kay Wedel has a passion to help people develop skills to positively influence and change themselves and those with whom they work and interact, as well as their organization as a whole. It is for that reason she has launched Performance Coaching and Communications, LLC, specializing in Leadership Development for individuals, business leaders, teams and companies. Ms. Wedel, a seasoned executive who has served in leadership roles in the media industry for over 25 years, has established this company as a way to share her extensive knowledge and skills.

Ms. Wedel’s experience in sales, marketing, business development and negotiating were honed through the growth and development of the Cable TV and Satellite industries. She is a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and is one of 500 people worldwide that holds a license in Energy Leadership.

Her business experience includes Executive positions with Showtime Networks, USSB, Eclipse Marketing Services, Princeton eCom, Paragon Cable, Continental Cable and Cox Communications. Clients have included most MSO’s, Programming Networks and Movie Studios.

Mary Kay Wedel is the Founder and Principal of One Piece of Advice, a relevant and exciting project created in 2008, to aggregate and share time-tested wisdom about life defining issues. This multi-faceted project, now an engaging website, www.onepieceofadvice.net, also hosts educational forums and will become a book. The first compelling and life-defining issue of One Piece of Advice is One Piece of Advice: Navigating Your Career.

Ms. Wedel volunteers her time and expertise generously to civic and professional communities. She has been on the Monmouth Beach School Board (New Jersey) for eight years and is the past President. She is Treasurer of the Monmouth Beach Historical Society. Ms. Wedel is also active in the media industry, and is a member of CTAM and Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), and the International Coach Federation.
